Anonymous asked: How do you write 'shukriyaa' using a Hindi keyboard?
Namaste and thanks for the question!
Firstly I’m going to presume that you have a Hindi keyboard installed on your computer. If not then head over to Lesson #10 to learn how to do that! Now once you have the Hindi keyboard installed, and you are typing Hindi, your keyboard looks like this…

So how do we type the word ’ शुक्रिया shukriyaa - Thank you’? Well it’s a lot easier that it looks, you just work your way through the word! Here goes (the letters in brackets tell you what to type - remember the capital letters are important!)…
- Firstly we have श sha (M) and we add उ u (g) to it to give us शु shu
- Next we have क ka (k) and we add the halent (d) then र ra (j) and then we add the इ i (f) that gives us क्रि kri
- Then for the last part we have य ya (/) and we add आ aa (e) to it, या yaa.
Phew ok! So all together it’s शुक्रिया shukriyaa which we get from typing - Mgkdjf/e. I hope that helps you! Honestly learning to type in Hindi takes a lot of practice so don’t worry if you’re a little slow at it to start with.
Please feel free to ask me if you have any more questions. Thanks again!
