Can You Help This Blog?

By far the biggest request I get on this blog is for me to put audio files online so that the readers can listen to the words spoken and improve their essential Hindi listening skills. Of course I truly understand just how useful this would be for every learner of the language and so I have been working behind the scenes for a long time trying to figure out a solution to this. Only now have I made progress!

What surprises many people is that I am not actually a native Hindi speaker myself, I just have been studying the language for a while now. This is my problem though, because I’m not a native Hindi speaker I don’t want to use my own voice for the audio files - since my accent and pronunciation may not be what you are likely to come across from a native speaker. 

   Listening to audio is essential for the learning of any language! 

So this is where you come in! I’m looking for your help. Are you a native Hindi speaker? Are you willing to sacrifice 10 minutes or so a week and volunteer to help this website? Would you be able to send me audio recording of your voice for me to put online to help hundreds of potential Hindi learners? Or even do you know a native Hindi speaker willing to do the same? 

If so then…

I’d love to work with you to help the Hindi learners that visit this site! Don’t worry, I’ll still be the one doing all the work - I will send you a list of words or phrases with instructions, you’ll send me back the audio recording and then hopefully, if all goes to plan, I’ll then post it online in the lessons for everyone to use.

In a perfect world I’d have half a dozen or so native Hindi speakers, half male and half female, of a few different ages to help. But of course right now any help at all will be appreciated and the more the merrier!
