Anonymous asked: 've kuch bechate the' this sentence is in which tense?

This is a very good question actually, so thank you very much for asking! So just what tense is वे कुछ बेचते थे ve kuch becte the - They used to sell something - in?

Well the answer is, the sentence is actually in a tense called The Past Imperfect Tense. So what is the Past Imperfect Tense? All we need to know for now is that it means ‘used to’, like in the sentence ‘they used to sell something’. It’s formed by using the Preset Tense Verb followed by either था thaa, थे the or थीthee (we saw these words in Lesson #69).

You can learn a bunch more about the Past Imperfect Tense over in Lesson #105 so be sure to check it out for a lot more information!
